The project we are showcasing is one that is extremely unique and very close to our design journey. A city home that takes us back to the english country side, the challenge here was to keep the space functional and facilitate ease of use while also making the home a perfect haven of country style aesthetics. Everything from the mouldings on the door to the choice of a victorian wc and basin in the master bedroom.
The journey, its all been through out an extreme detailed process of planning. When we had first walked into the site it was a depilated site with pigeon nests and the place needed a total overhaul in all ways. It was also an old building so there were various restrictions on weight, layout changes, plumbing, old electrical lines etc. The first step was to bring the place to a basic liveable position and only then did we start looking at the layout options that were best suitable for the space and requirements.
Due to weight restrictions we had to work with tudor beams which set right in with the veneer ceilings. Each piece of furniture was specially picked in collaboration with the homeowner. The rustic furniture and the Chesterfield, the armchairs, the stone cladding everything has come together to create a country look yet keep the space light and classy.
